About Me
I live in beautiful East Devon in the South West of England with my wife and two incredible children.
I grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, where I studied Medicine at The University of the Witwatersrand.
I attended an all boys' high school during the 1990s and this inspired me to write The Wessex Legacy.
Footsteps of Heroes is Book One of the coming-of-age mysteries set during South Africa's democratic transition.
My passions include wine and wine making, rugby and woodworking.
I started writing poetry at the age of 16, started my first book at 25 and finally decided to pursue a writing career in 2023, aged 42.
I am a qualified GP and worked in Acute Internal Medicine in the South West of England.
I offer medical story consulting services for writers - and hopefully one day for television and film. If your story has a doctor, nurse or paramedic in it or you have any medical questions about your fiction please see my page on Medical Story Consulting.
